Scholastic

Alpha Delta Gamma takes great pride in its academic endeavors. Besides from being a social fraternity, ADG realizes that its young men come to college to get an education. It is because of this fact that one of ADG’s Five S’s is Scholastic. Every candidate of ADG, despite his academic background, is instilled with the skills and values necessary for any student to take advantage of his time at college
ADG makes sure that its chapters are established at schools with highly regarded academic reputations. In fact, several of U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges are home to several chapters of Alpha Delta Gamma. ADG chapters can be found at schools with nationally recognized academic specialties such as architecture, religion, politics, business, physics and history. In addition, according to the same report from U.S. News, quite a few of ADG’s chapters are found at schools with a considerable amount of campus diversity with respect towards minorities.
Looking at this issue from a numerical point of view, ADG does not disappoint. The grade point averages of Alphadelts are among the highest in their schools’ respective greek populations. Furthermore, a sizeable number of Alphadelts go on to graduate studies programs such as medical school, law school, doctoral studies, masters studies, etc…
The fraternity also recognizes the accomplishments professors have made at ADG campuses. The Reverend Leo Foley Outstanding Educator Award is presented annually by ADG’s National Council to an instructor who has demonstrated a particular care and zeal for the students as well as his or her profession.
Finally, the clear testament to the academic standards Alpha Delta Gamma sets for its members can be seen in its alumni community. Many of our alumni go on to establish themselves as figureheads in their respective fields. For just a few examples, one can look at our list of “Famous Alphadelts.” Our tight-knit community of alumni is also available to help the active members of ADG from educational support during their college years to job networking after graduation.
