Executive
The Executive Office of Alpha Delta Gamma is loosely termed as the National Government. It consists of two bodies of power: the Executive Council and the Board of Directors. The Executive Council is elected at the National Convention every other year and that Council selects Alumni and Actives from around the country to serve on the Board of Directors.
It is not uncommon for any Active to demonstrate his outstanding ability as a local Chapter member and subsequently be approached by the Council to serve as a Director of the National Government. There is no restriction of age. The Council encourages young leadership and motivation to groom the individual for future leadership as a Chapter Officer, confidence as a college student, and perhaps, further endeavors as a Council Officer. Additionally, older alumni are encouraged to return to serve the fraternity and serve on a national level if their time and ability permit.
While the members of the National Government demonstrate unswerving time and dedication to the Chapters and their members, it should be known that no Government official receives an annual salary or hourly wage – including the National President. It is the ultimate commitment of the Alpha Delta Gamma Man and a sincere indication of their true love and passion for the Fraternity.
